What is the benefit of having a motorbike with an anti-lock system (ALS)?

The anti-lock system (ALS) on a motorbike helps prevent the wheels from locking up during sudden or emergency braking. This reduces the chance of skidding and falling, especially on slippery surfaces. It does not mean you can drive faster without risk, nor does it reduce the physical effort needed to brake.
